Meet Dan Greenwood

I'm Dan Greenwood, your dedicated boat and yacht broker, committed to making the boat buying and selling experience smooth and enjoyable. With over 23 years of expertise in the marine industry, I started my career at a Meridian/Bayliner dealership before launching Greenwood Yacht Services 17 years ago. Since then, I’ve specialized in connecting buyers with the perfect vessel and helping sellers achieve their goals.

After a few successful years running Greenwood Yacht Services, I joined Southern Straits Yachts to expand my knowledge and contribute to a larger operation. However, I recently returned to Greenwood Yacht Services to gain more flexibility over my time which I felt was essential to creating lasting relationships with my clients. 

 
As a broker, I take pride in managing every detail of the buying and selling process. For buyers, I do the legwork and seek out the perfect boat for your specific needs, I handle owner negotiations, paperwork, and everything in between to ensure a hassle-free experience. For sellers, I manage marketing efforts, coordinate with co-brokers, surveyors and mechanics, and engage with potential buyers to find the right match. My mission is to simplify the complex world of boat transactions, so you can focus on the excitement of the journey ahead. Whether you’re stepping into boat ownership for the first time or passing on the torch, I’m here to navigate the entire process with you.

When I’m not brokering deals, I’m active in giving back to the community. I proudly serve as a pirate for Variety Children's Charity, for over 25 years I've been one of the organizers of the Variety Boat for Hope event at Granville Island. I volunteer my time with Santa's Christmas Ships, various local Power Squadron events including the annual Remembrance Day ceremony at Belcarra Park,  I’m actively involved with the Belcarra community group, contributing to local initiatives and events. I also host an annual Flotilla Party at Boulder Island with live music. I live on Boulder Island, where I fully immerse myself in the marine lifestyle—it’s more than just a job; it’s a way of life.
